Kaori Tatebayashi

Kaori grew up in a family who traded in pottery in Kyoto, Japan a city renowned for its ceramics. Thus she was surrounded by the simple, elegant forms of Japanese tableware from a young age. Following her studies in Kyoto and the RCA in London she has exhibited frequently in London and Japan.

Her designs are greatly influenced by natural shapes ans forms. The simple ceramic forms are created by a special moulding technique which gives each piece a unique character. Kaori says, "I would like my work to be fresh and innovative but comfortable to use at the same time. I hope my table ware gives you a quiet, sensual treat."
